To kite every day in Cumbuco is as naturally as getting a caipirinha in the bar. Because of the steady wind the sleepy Cumbuco became Brazilian kitespot No1.
The sanddunes along the coast are our wind-guaranty. When the sun start warming the sand, the normal North-East-passat is boosted. The constant current of 5 knots (in a distance of 3 km of the coast) aids this effect, too.
During the night, the wind blows offshore, because of the effect, that the ocean is warmer than the land.

The best time for kiting is June to January - 100% wind-guaranty. From Febraury till May the wind is a little less stable... The constant current of 5 knots (in a distance of 3 km of the coast) aids this effect, too.
The ocean-temperature is always at 27-29 degree, the air 26-32.
